Introduction

At New Horizons Migration, our fees are structured to reflect the complexity of each case while ensuring clarity, fairness, and full transparency.

Migration and education pathways involve important long-term decisions. Our approach is designed to provide structured, professional guidance, with fees aligned to the level of advice, preparation, and representation required.

Initial Consultation (Complimentary)

We offer a one-time complimentary consultation for prospective clients who are considering engaging our full services.

This session is intended to:

  • Understand your background and goals
  • Identify potential visa and/or study pathways
  • Provide high-level strategic direction

This consultation does not include detailed case analysis, document review, or advice on specific technical questions.

Where detailed or case-specific advice is required, a paid consultation will be recommended.

Paid Consultation (Advisory Service)

For clients seeking specific advice or detailed assessment, we offer a structured consultation service.

  • Fee: AUD $175 (incl. GST)
  • Duration: Up to 45 minutes

This service is suitable for:

  • Complex or case-specific questions
  • Detailed eligibility discussions
  • Independent advice without ongoing engagement

Clients are required to:

  • Complete a pre-consultation questionnaire
  • Submit relevant background information in advance

Fees for consultations are payable prior to the session.

Full-Service Engagement (Representation)

For clients who wish to proceed beyond initial advice, we offer end-to-end representation services, which may include:

  • Migration-only services (visa strategy, preparation, and lodgement)
  • Education advisory services (course and provider selection)
  • Combined education and migration pathway planning

Immigration assistance is provided only after a formal Client Engagement Letter (service agreement) is in place, in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Professional Fees

Professional fees are tailored to each case and depend on:

  • Visa type and complexity
  • Individual circumstances and risk profile
  • Scope of services required

Fees are typically structured as fixed fees for defined stages of work.

In some cases, fees may be structured on an hourly basis, together with a reasonable estimate of time.

All fees are set in accordance with regulatory requirements and are designed to be fair and reasonable.

A detailed fee proposal will be provided in your Client Engagement Letter before any work commences.

Fee Structure (Staged Payments)

Professional fees are generally divided into stages aligned to key milestones:

  • Stage 1: Assessment & Strategy
  • Stage 2: Preparation & Documentation
  • Stage 3: Lodgement & Ongoing Support

Payment is linked to progress, ensuring that fees correspond to work completed.

No professional fees for immigration assistance are charged or accepted until a service agreement is in place.

Government Fees and Disbursements

Professional fees are separate from external costs, which may include:

  • Visa application charges
  • Skills assessments
  • English language tests
  • Medical examinations
  • Police clearances

Where applicable:

  • Estimated costs will be outlined in your engagement
  • You will be informed whether costs are payable directly or on your behalf
  • Any additional or increased costs will be discussed and agreed in advance

We do not charge more than the actual cost of any disbursement.

Payment Terms

  • Fees are payable in accordance with the stages outlined in your Client Engagement Letter
  • Work will commence once the relevant stage payment has been received
  • Subsequent stages are payable prior to progression
  • Clients will receive itemised invoices and receipts for all fees and disbursements

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is designed to be fair and reasonable, reflecting work completed.

  • Fees for completed stages are generally non-refundable
  • Where services have not commenced, refunds may be considered
  • Any applicable refunds will be processed promptly in accordance with agreed terms

Detailed refund provisions will be included in your Client Engagement Letter.

Fee Variations

Fees agreed in your Client Engagement Letter will not be varied unless exceptional circumstances arise that materially affect the scope or complexity of the work.

In such cases:
